Can Tourism Social Entrepreneurship Organizations Contribute to the Development of Ecotourism and Local Communities: Understanding the Perception of Local Communities

The literature emphasizes that tourism social entrepreneurs play an important role in the adoption of sustainable strategies to achieve social, environmental, and community development. Yet, there is limited research aims understand relationship between local communities entrepreneurship empirically. Building around exchange theory Weber’s substantive formal rationality, this study addresses following question: how do perceive (TSE) development ecotourism destinations? A total 362 employees two organizations India participated survey. Analytically, validated measurement model tested hypotheses using structural equation modeling (SEM). findings reveal economic benefits environmental sustainability are main influencing factors appreciated by communities.
